PIXELS & PRINT

As part of the immersive team for Syracuse University’s Pixels & Print 2025 workshop, I designed an augmented reality (AR) experience aimed at encouraging donations in a new and engaging way. Collaborating with an industry professional, my professor, and my classmates, I worked within a 48-hour intensive sprint to develop a polished and functional AR activation.

This was my first time designing for AR, and I worked in 8th Wall Studio to build an interactive experience tailored to Empower Parkinson, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Despite the challenge of working in a completely new medium, I was able to create an engaging piece that seamlessly integrated into the brand identity overhaul our team delivered.

Through this experience, I gained valuable skills in AR design, rapid problem-solving, client collaboration, and designing under tight deadlines. The final product was not only polished and professional but also something the organization was thrilled to adopt for long-term use. This project reinforced my passion for using design as a tool for impact and pushed me to expand my creative capabilities in emerging technology.
